The Innisfree Intensive Anti-pollution Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ is a hybrid sunscreen (with chemical and mineral filters) that protects against UVA and UVB rays. The mineral filters are formulated in nano form (smaller particle size) so there is less chance of getting a white film on the skin.
One of the most important factors in aging and the development of hyperpigmentation and melasma is (over)exposure of the skin to the sun. There are three types of UV rays: UVA (UVA1 has a range of 340 to 400 nanometers and UVA2 has a range of 320 and 340 nanometers), UVB (320-280 nm) and UVC (280-100 nm). UVC is blocked by the ozone layer, so we are not exposed to rays below 280nm.
UV filters:
- Zinc Oxide (UVA1 and UVA2, UVB), Tinosorb S (280-400 nm), Uvinal T 150 (280-320nm), Uvinal A plus (320-400 nm), Titanium Oxide ( UVA2 and UVB).
Ingredients we love
- Niacinamide: Stimulates natural ceramide production and fades hyperpigmentation. Leads to a firm and even complexion.
- Centella Asiatica Extract: Has healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Stimulates natural hyaluronic acid production and is a powerful antioxidant.
- Tocopherol, vitamin E: An important oil-soluble skin antioxidant. Protects the skin from free radical damage and makes it more resistant to UV rays.
